At Gilgal we are very involved with the Trussell Trust’s Foodbank operation. The Porthcawl Foodbank relies on Gilgal for the majority of their volunteers and we encourage our members to take part if they are able to do so. We also encourage members to donate food items regularly to the Foodbank.

Many of our members are also involved helping out at the Foodbank’s central regional warehouse, which distributes food donations to 11 Foodbanks in the Bridgend area.

Below are some pictures showing our operation, including ‘Baked Bean Alley‘ – our Foodbank warehouse has upwards of 5,000 tins of baked beans at any one time!
